IMTEX 2027 Stall Design and Fabrication Guide for Machinery Exhibitors

Plan your IMTEX 2027 stall around machinery, demonstrations, service access, visitor flow, installation and exhibition stall fabrication.

IMTEX 2027 stall design and fabrication guide for machinery exhibitors
IMTEX 2027 stall design should account for machine footprint, demonstrations, service access, visitor movement and installation.

IMTEX 2027 runs from 21 to 27 January at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, BIEC, in Bengaluru, with Tooltech and Digital Manufacturing running alongside it. The show covers machine tools, machining centres, tooling, robotics, automation, controls, measurement systems and other manufacturing technology.

A machinery stall cannot be designed from the booth size alone. The machine footprint is only the beginning. Operators need access, visitors need somewhere to watch, doors and service panels need clearance, and the equipment has to reach its final position during installation.

Start with the machine plan. The branding can follow.

Confirm the IMTEX 2027 space and machinery list

The official IMTEX site lists 21-27 January 2027 at BIEC, Bengaluru. IMTEX will run with Tooltech and Digital Manufacturing, covering both physical manufacturing equipment and supporting technologies.

Check the official IMTEX 2027 show details

Put the confirmed hall, stall number, dimensions and open sides at the top of the brief. Then attach a machine list with exact dimensions, weight, access points and installation requirements for every unit you plan to bring.

Mark doors, control panels, tool-changing areas, service panels and moving parts on the plan. A machine may fit inside the drawn footprint and still be impossible to demonstrate or service properly.

Also ask how the equipment will enter the venue and stall. Large machinery can affect build sequence, flooring and access. The fabricator needs that information before the final layout is approved.

Design the demonstration before the meeting area

IMTEX is built around manufacturing technology, and the organiser promotes live product demonstrations. If a machine will operate, decide what the visitor should actually see it do.

A good demonstration has a viewing position, an operator position and a clear path in and out. Put those three things on the floor plan. Do not draw a meeting table into the same space and hope the crowd will arrange itself later.

If the cycle takes several minutes, decide what visitors can understand while they wait. A nearby screen can show the finished component, the machining stage or a detail that is difficult to see from outside the machine.

Confirm utilities, safety arrangements and operating requirements with the organiser and the equipment supplier. The stall design should follow those requirements, not guess them.

Leave working space around heavy equipment

Machinery needs more room than its catalogue dimensions suggest. Add the operator, visitors, open guards or panels, tool handling and any service access the equipment requires.

Keep the main route through the stall away from areas where a door, pallet, trolley or machine component needs to move. If a visitor has to step backwards into the aisle to watch the demo, the layout needs another pass.

For IMTEX stall design and fabrication, KaamKraft can work from the machinery plan first rather than treating the equipment as something to place after the stall is designed. Share the floor plan, machine dimensions, operating clearances, demo requirements and installation sequence so the structure, flooring, electrical points, display areas and meeting space can be planned around how the equipment will actually be used on site.

KaamKraft handles exhibition stall design, fabrication and installation, giving machinery exhibitors one team to coordinate the physical build around the equipment and visitor flow.

Put technical information where the conversation happens

Visitors at IMTEX may want specifications, tolerances, applications, controls, output examples or integration details. Keep the right information near the machine instead of turning the rear wall into a technical manual.

Use short labels beside the equipment and keep detailed sheets, samples or digital material ready for the person who asks. If you are showing several machines, use a simple naming system so the brochure, display and enquiry notes refer to the same model.

Give the sales and engineering team somewhere to continue a serious discussion without standing in the demonstration route. For larger stalls, separate quick conversations from longer meetings.

A screen can support the conversation when a machine detail is difficult to see directly. Use it for drawings, machining stages, finished components or application examples instead of filling the stall with long technical copy.

Compare the build quote with the installation plan

For an IMTEX stall quotation, ask for clear line items for structure, flooring, machine platforms or supports if required, branding, lighting, AV, furniture, electrical work, transport, installation and dismantling.

Confirm which team is responsible for machine unloading, positioning, connection, commissioning and final testing. If a specialist engineer is needed, put that arrival into the build schedule rather than treating it as a separate problem.

Also check whether any part of the stall must be completed before machinery enters the space. Heavy equipment may need to be positioned before certain walls, counters or finishes are closed around it.

Before opening day, run the actual demonstration and walk the visitor route while people are standing in the stall. Check that the machine is visible, the operator can work, and a buyer can move from the demo to a technical conversation without cutting through another group.

Questions about IMTEX 2027

When and where is IMTEX 2027?

IMTEX 2027 is scheduled for 21-27 January 2027 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, BIEC, Bengaluru.

What is being exhibited at IMTEX 2027?

The official exhibitor profile covers machine tools, machining centres, robotics and automation, tooling, controls, measuring and inspection systems, software and other manufacturing technologies.

What should a machinery stall brief include?

Include the confirmed floor plan, machine dimensions and weights, moving parts, utility requirements, demo plan, installation sequence, brand files, meeting needs, storage and budget.

How much clearance should be left around machinery in an exhibition stall?

There is no single clearance that applies to every machine. Use the equipment supplier's requirements for operator access, opening guards or panels, loading, service access and safe demonstration space when preparing the stall layout.

Can a machinery stall be priced only by square metre?

A square-metre rate cannot describe every requirement. Heavy equipment, platforms, electrical work, AV, specialist handling and installation scope can materially change the quotation.

Start the IMTEX design with the machines, not the mood board

Share your IMTEX 2027 floor plan, machine dimensions, demo requirements, installation needs and budget with KaamKraft.

The team can plan the exhibition stall around the equipment, develop the approved design, fabricate the structure and coordinate the build so the machinery, visitor movement, technical displays and sales areas work together when the show opens.
